Really regretting not buying that 240 truck posted outside Austin recently. What an automobile, would have made an awesome daily, and cheap, too. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! for the uninitiated.

man that is huge money though. http://oppositelock.jalopnik.com/so-i-was-talki… this girl couldn't get $1000 for this one up north here

The only reason she couldn't get 1000 is because I never saw it. For that price I'd have driven half way across the country.

I told her the same thing, that wood bed is something serious. Tailgate was wood left over from a Chris Craft transom restoration!

The good ones always get away.

Jesus Christ!
It is for a 240, but, and a big but, it supposedly had functioning and cold A/C; I'll pay a $3k premium for that on any 20+ year old car at this point.

Yeah that thing was sweet. You in the market for a Volvo in central texas?

Not particularly, unless it's as funky as that thing!

I'm toying with the idea of unloading my 242 simply because I'm never actually around Austin to enjoy it.
Totally sorted suspension and a 16V motor swap. Wish I had more time for it.

lol my $1000 audi 90 quattro has working a/c! guess I AM getting some good deals! Actually those 240's are pretty robust systems, usually a pretty easy fix. Up here in Maine once it goes not too many people fix them. Too temperate

Jesus! I can't seem to find older cars with functioning A/C to save my life. My Milano has "functioning" A/C, but that really just amounts to an asthmatic blowing lukewarm air at me through a straw, which doesn't cut it in 100* heat.

my Milano will never wheeze luke-cold air through the vents again. As my dad said. 4-60 AC. 4 windows down, 60 mph.
Though if you are hitting 100 degrees on the regular I would think differently. My 73 BMW Bavaria still had the add on Behr A/C, still filled with r-12. Used to freeze my rocks off in that thing in Denver when I lived there, and it gets hot out there! Best a/c I have ever used

I spend 5 months a year north of 90, A/C is a must for me. It's been great through the recent cold snaps in Dallas, though, the heat works wonderfully, as if it's taunting me.
